Oregon Governor's Occupational Safety & Health Conference
1 MINUTE READ
Safety company Duralabel will be among the 150+ companies attending the Governor's Occupational Safety & Health Conference (GOSH), taking place March 6-9, 2017, in Portland, Oregon. The largest safety and health conference in the Pacific Northwest, Oregon GOSH has been held every other year for 35 years.
A second-time exhibitor at the regional safety show, Duralabel will showcase visual communications solutions that help protect workers from dangers such as arc flash. Duralabel will also display its diverse line of DuraLabel thermal transfer printers and innovations for the following applications:
- Lockout/Tagout valve lockouts, tags, padlocks, and more
- Floor Marking & Wayfinding including PathFinder floor marking tapes which provide order throughout warehouses and distribution facilities
- Spill Control & Containment hazmat pads, absorb pads, barriers, and more
One of the big draws of the show is the Columbia Forklift Challenge, in which forklift drivers maneuver through obstacles and tight turns in showcasing their skill and safety awareness. The challenge takes place on March 8; past courses culminated in a finale where drivers rolled a bowling ball off a pallet toward pins approximately 20 feet away. In the past, drivers and teams were awarded up to $500 for their forklift driving prowess.
On a similar note, Duralabel offers a number of forklift safety resources, including articles on forklift safety tips, warehouse safety guides, and forklift safety signage.
