Auto Install Instructions

  1. Insert the DuraLabel 4000 installation CD into your CD-ROM.
  2. Connect the power supply from the DuraLabel 4000 to an electrical outlet. Connect the USB cable* from the DuraLabel 4000 to your PC. Power ON the DuraLabel 4000.
  3. A ?Found New Hardware? window may appear. If so, select No, not this time then click Next.
  4. Select Install the software automatically (Recommended) and click Next.
  5. A window may appear showing the progress of searching for the files.
  6. If a hardware installation window appears, click Continue Anyway.
  7. A screen may appear showing the progress of copying the files.
  8. Click Finish to Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard.

*Since Windows keeps track of printers by port, each time you plug a printer into a port that isn?t configured, Windows assumes that it?s a new printer and tries to reinstall it. Our recommendation is to leave the USB Cable connected to the computer, MPS 150 Plus, or laptop, whichever operating system the DuraLabel is connected to. Identify the USB Cable with a label and wrap the cord out of the way until next use.
