Cleaning DuraLabel Toro

In this video, we'll show you how to properly clean the DuraLabel Toro.

First, ensure that your Toro is powered off.

Unplug the power supply and remove the battery if one is being used.

Lift the printer cover, lower the cutter mechanism, and press the two gray tabs to raise the printhead.

Remove any supply or ribbon that may be installed.

Open one of the individually packaged cleaning swabs or lightly moisten a soft cloth with isopropyl alcohol. Run the swab back and forth several times across the front and underside of the print head. You'll want to remove all built up adhesive, residue, and dust particles.

Then clean the adjustable tape guides.

Finally, use the swab to clean the inside of the cutter blade by gently inserting it to the slot and running the swab back and forth.

For advanced cleaning, remove the three screws that hold the plastic faceplate onto the cutter. Remove each screw and set them aside.

Once the cutter is clean and dried, it's time to reverse the process.

Put the plastic facing back onto the cutter and reinstall the three screws to hold it in place. Reinstall the ribbon and vinyl supply. Lower the print head back into place, raise the mechanism, and close the printer cover. Reinstall a battery if one is being used or reconnect to power. Turn your DuraLabel Toro back on and it's ready to print.
