In this video, we'll put PathFinder floor marking tape to the test-having a forklift do a series of durability tests to find out which variety of PathFinder tape can withstand the most wear and tear. Today we'll perform 4 tests. A drive test, a spin test, a brake test, and a pallet drag test.
Today we'll test 4 varieties of PathFinder tape. Rigid Tape- for industrial or heavy traffic. Flex Tape- for lower impact situations, Custom Print Tape with a protective Over Laminate, and finally a printed Flex Tape you would use to mark out a doorway or exit.
The first test will be a basic drive test to simulate what most tapes will endure in any warehouse environment.
As expected, all four tapes are holding strong.
Next we'll do a spin test.
Notice how the spinning wheel started to bring up the edges the Blue and Printed Flex tapes but couldn't get either of the other two tapes to budge.
Next we'll do a brake test, by slamming the brakes when over the tape.
Notice how the loose edges on the Flex tapes, created by the spin test caught on the wheels and caused more damage? Compare that to the custom print and heavy duty tapes which are still looking good!
For our last test, we'll slide a pallet on the floor right over the tape.
The final results are in: PathFinder Rigid survived everything we could throw at it showing only streaks burned on by the forklift tires. The custom print with over laminate did well too, sustaining only minor damage. The repeated spinning coupled with the brake test caused both Flex tapes to fail, but these tapes are normally used for lower impact situations and not intended to stand up to such intense stress like the Heavy Duty.

The repeated spinning coupled with the brake test caused both Flex tapes to fail, but these tapes are normally used in lower impact situations and not intended to stand up to intense stress like the real winner today: PathFinder Rigid which survived everything we could throw at it, showing only streaks burned on by the forklift tires
